A Good Place to Start

Something brought you here: anxiety, stress living in the NYC area, depression, numbness, a relationship under strain, a version of yourself you don't love. That's enough to begin.

The Work

I work with adult individuals and couples in NY and CT on anxiety, depression, trauma, overthinking, relationship breakdown, and the pressures that come with high-responsibility lives. I have a longstanding specialty in working with men entering therapy for the first time, re-starting it, skeptical it will work, and uncertain it's worth the effort. I also work with women and couples of all kinds.

Individual Therapy for Adults

I work with a range of adults living in the NYC area on anxiety, depression, stress, overthinking, trauma, relationship strain, burnout, and the sense that something is off they can’t quite name. Sessions are focused on what you want to change and how to get there. We piece things together, test ideas, and you leave most sessions with something concrete to try. I don't just reflect. I engage. I'll challenge you and stay invested in where you're headed.

Relationship Therapy

Therapy for couples, family members, and work colleagues focused on the emotional patterns underneath your conflict: who pulls away, who pushes harder, and why that cycle keeps repeating, no matter how much you both want it to stop.

Jett stone, phd

I'm a clinical psychologist, writer, author, and organizational consultant. I authored Quiet Your Mind: A Men's Guide (Penguin Random House) and write the Souls of Men column for Psychology Today. My work and expertise on masculinity, fatherhood, and the male mind has been featured in The New York Times, CNN, The Guardian, and Fortune. My clinical focus is individual psychotherapy and couples work, with a particular specialty in men who are new to therapy, restarting it after a long break, or who haven't yet found a therapist willing to challenge them. That population has shaped how I practice and what I write.

Writing, Press & Podcasts

Essays on the male mind, a book on overthinking tools geared for men, and national press coverage. My work spans clinical psychology, masculinity, fatherhood, and what happens when men finally decide to pay attention to – and express – their inner life.
